1. How CityQuest.com.au Earns Money

CityQuest.com.au is an independent review and comparison website covering pokies venues and online casinos across Australia. When you click on certain links on our site and subsequently register, deposit, or play at one of the operators we feature, we may receive an affiliate commission from that operator. This comes at no additional cost to you — the commission is paid by the operator, not by you.

This affiliate revenue is what allows us to keep CityQuest.com.au free to use, maintain our reviews, and continue updating our guides on the best pokies venues and online casinos near you.

2. Our Editorial Independence

Affiliate commissions do not influence our editorial content, rankings, ratings, or reviews. Our review team assesses operators based on consistent criteria — including licensing and regulation, game selection, payout speed, customer support, responsible gambling tools, and player feedback — regardless of any commercial relationship we may or may not have with the operator.

Operators cannot pay to improve their ranking or receive a more favourable review. Where we decline to recommend an operator, it is because they did not meet our standards — not because of any commercial arrangement.

3. How to Identify Affiliate or Sponsored Links

We believe in transparency. On CityQuest.com.au, affiliate and sponsored links are identified in the following ways:

• Buttons and links labelled with terms such as "Visit Casino", "Play Now", or "Claim Bonus" are typically affiliate links.
• Sponsored placements or promoted listings are clearly marked with a label such as "Sponsored" or "Advertisement".
• Review pages containing affiliate links display a disclosure notice near the top of the page.

4. Australian Compliance Statement

CityQuest.com.au operates in accordance with Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as administered by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). We are committed to ensuring that our content is not misleading or deceptive, and that commercial relationships influencing the presentation of content are clearly disclosed to our readers.

We also take care to comply with applicable Australian advertising standards, including the AANA Code of Ethics and relevant provisions of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth). We only promote operators that are legally permitted to offer their services to Australian residents, and we encourage readers to verify the current licensing status of any operator before playing.

5. Your Responsibility as a Reader

Gambling involves risk. Before using any operator featured on this site, you should:

• Confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and that gambling is legal in your state or territory.
• Read the operator's full terms and conditions, including bonus wagering requirements and withdrawal policies.
• Gamble responsibly and only with money you can afford to lose.
• Set deposit and time limits, and make use of self-exclusion tools such as BetStop — Australia's National Self-Exclusion Register.

If gambling is causing you or someone you know harm, free and confidential support is available 24/7 via Gambling Help Online (1800 858 858) or gamblinghelponline.org.au.
